Credit Card Payment Service Fee FAQs

Credit Card Service fee Information

A 2.95% service fee (minimum fee $3.00) applies to all payments made by credit card for 17³Ô¹Ï tuition, fees, and other student account charges related to academic courses. Credit card payments for these charges are only processed through 17³Ô¹Ï Self-Service. Visa, MasterCard, Discover (including JCB, Diners Pay & China Union Network), and American Express are accepted.

You can avoid paying the 2.95% service fee by paying on 17³Ô¹Ï Self-Service with an e-check (bank transfer from checking or savings account) or with a debit card. Debit card payments must be entered in the debit card menu option to avoid the fee. View more payment options here.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Which Credit Cards Does TouchNet PayPath Accept?

    • Visa, MasterCard, Discover (including JCB, Diners Pay & China Union Network), and American Express are accepted
  • Why Does 17³Ô¹Ï Charge A Service Fee For The Use Of Credit Cards?

    • 17³Ô¹Ï has contracted with a third-party company, TouchNet PayPath, to provide secure credit card processing services for certain student transactions (tuition, fees, and other charges related to academic courses). The fee is being charged by the third-party processor, not 17³Ô¹Ï. This arrangement enables the college to continue to provide students with a credit card payment option, while reducing the overall cost of payment processing. The cost of using credit cards is carried only by the small number of students using them rather than being shared across all students.
