17³Ô¹Ï campus tour information for individuals and families
We offer multiple tour options to students and their family members. Please review the information below for all available tour options and use the registration link to sign up for the tours that meet your needs. We encourage all students to sign up for a Main Campus tour, in addition to other campus or program tours. Contact admissions@nmc.edu or call (231) 995-1054, with additional questions.
FRONT STREET CAMPUS includes student services, dining facilities and on-campus housing. These tours will last about one and a half hours, and are offered on Mondays at 10 a.m. and Thursdays or Fridays at 2 p.m. Advance registration is required. Unique programs located on our Front Street campus include Audio Technology, Dental Assistant, Early Childhood Education, Fine Arts, Law Enforcement, Nursing, Surgical Technology, Visual Communications and many other programs.
GREAT LAKES CULINARY INSTITUTE facilities are located on the Great Lakes Campus. GLCI tours last about an hour and are offered on Mondays at 11:30 a.m. Explore 17³Ô¹Ï's culinary degrees and certificates, including specialities in baking/pastry and culinary-maritime. Visit our first-rate facilities, including baking, introductory and advanced kitchens, and Lobdell's teaching restaurant.
AERO PARK CAMPUS facilities include the Parsons-Stulen, Aero Park Laboratories and Automotive Service Technology buildings. These tours will last about one hour, and are offered on Thursdays or Fridays at 12:30 p.m. The programs located here include Automotive, Construction (Carpentry, Construction Management, Electrical, HVAC/R, Facilities Management and Renewable Energy), Engineering Technology (General, Biomedical, Computer, Electronics, Programmable Logic Controllers and Robotics & Automation), Marine Technology, Surveying, Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS) and Welding.
AVIATION facilities and the Aviation Hangar are also located on our Aero Park Campus. Our Aviation Flight program allows you to earn multiple flight ratings. These tours last about one hour and are offered on Thursdays or Fridays at 11 a.m. If you have specific questions about our Aviation program or tour, please contact Heather Robinson, Aviation Admissions Specialist, at hrobinson@nmc.edu or (231) 995-2911.
GREAT LAKES MARITIME ACADEMY facilities are located on the Great Lakes Campus. Maritime Academy tours last two to three hours and are offered by appointment only on Mondays at 1 p.m. The Academy prepares college students to become merchant marine officers and business professionals in the global marketplace. Our training ship State of Michigan, and three smaller vessels, are utilized daily as a floating classroom and hands-on learning environment. Virtual Sessions and Tours
VIRTUAL 17³Ô¹Ï ADMISSION INFORMATION SESSIONS are offered for prospective students and family members who are not yet able or ready to travel to campus for a tour. This interactive session will last about an hour. You will meet with an Admissions Representative via Zoom and listen to a presentation followed by a Q & A session.
