Basic scholarship eligibility requirements

• Maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.0, or
• Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress for Financial Aid (SAP) Good Standing

Some scholarships have additional eligibility requirements, which are noted in the system.

Scholarship process explained

• Once you , you are automatically matched with scholarships offered here and externally.
  • At this time, scholarships that do not require an application will not show in the "match" category.

  • Scholarships with a building icon are 17吃瓜 scholarships.
    • 17吃瓜 only has 30 scholarships that require an application.
  • Scholarships with a globe icon are external scholarships.
• Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is required for the majority of 17吃瓜 scholarships.
• 17吃瓜 awards students based on merit and need, using many other factors, such as program and residency, to match to specific scholarships. We prioritize based on:
  • Date admitted: returning students, and by admission date for new students
  • Unmet need, prioritizing tuition and fee gaps after federal, state, and other aid
  • First-generation college student in family
• You will be notified when awarded and if you need to submit a thank you note.
• Please notify us if you decide not to attend 17吃瓜.

“My goal throughout college has been to graduate but not only that but do it on time with as little debt as possible. Throughout my life I have always wanted to be a teacher until just before I went off to college I changed my mind. I decided to purse aviation. I went in completely blind with no knowledge about aviation but have not looked back since finding something I truly enjoy and love."
