Lobdell’s serves as a working laboratory for Great Lakes Culinary Institute students. The 90-seat restaurant overlooks beautiful Grand Traverse Bay and is open to the public for lunches, dinners and special events throughout the year. It is named in honor of longtime 17³Ô¹Ï supporters Wayne and Terry Lobdell.

Lunch Service

Dates: February 5 through April 23 (Tuesdays and Wednesdays)

Reservation times: 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Lobdell's will be closed during the week of spring break.

World Cuisine Series

World Cuisine events provide our students experience with small plate prix fixe menu service while exploring cuisines and cultures from around the world.

Lunch service consists of 3 courses that includes an appetizer, a main course and a dessert. Dinner service consists of 4 courses that includes an appetizer, soup/salad, a main course, dessert and a glass of wine or beer.

  • Thursday, February 13: Italy
  • Thursday, February 27: Lebanon
  • Thursday, March 13: Spain

Reservation times:

  • Lunch: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Dinner: 5:45–6:45 p.m. 

Price:

  • Lunch: $35 plus tax & gratuity
  • Dinner: $55 plus tax & gratuity

Lobdell's Restaurant is open for lunch on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for the Fall 2024 semester, starting Wednesday, Sept. 18 and running through Wednesday, Dec. 5. Farm to Table Dinners and Cocktails and Charcuterie events are also returning; stay tuned or join our mailing list for more details!
