Academic Probation
Any student who has attempted academic classes and whose cumulative grade point average is below a 2.0 is considered academically at risk.
Academic Success Policy
17勛圖 is committed to open access to higher education for the citizens of our service area and to the academic success of our students.
Academic Suspension
When a student has been on probation for two semesters and is unable to maintain a current grade point average of 2.0 or better, that student will be suspended from academic enrollment.
Attendance
Attendance is critical to student academic progress at 17勛圖.
Catalog of Record
When students enroll for academic credit at 17勛圖, their graduation requirements are governed by the catalog in effect at the time of their enrollment.
Confidentiality of Records
Student transcripts are protected under the Family Rights and Privacy Act and will not be released without written permission of the student.
FERPA
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, also known as the Buckley Amendment, helps protect the privacy of student records.
MACRAO Agreement
The Michigan Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (MACRAO) had adopted an agreement to help students transfer more easily from Michigan community colleges to participating four-year colleges and universities. The MACRAO Transfer Agreement can no longer be completed by students as of Fall 2019.
Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA)
Starting Fall 2014, the MTA transfer agreement went into effect to better assist students to meet general education requirements when transferring to four-year institutions within the state of Michigan.
Repeating Courses
17勛圖 offers enrolled students an opportunity to improve upon a cumulative grade point average by repeating a course or courses.
Residency
Your tuition rate is determined during the Admissions process. To change your residency, you must obtain a petition from the Records Office.
Semester/Term Equivalency
When credits are transferred from a college on the term system to a college on the semester system, a term credit is evaluated as two-thirds of a semester credit.
Student Right to Know
Students have a right to know graduation rates, job placement statistics, crime statistics, as well as general information about the college.
Suspension and Reinstatement
