Financial Aid and Scholarship Information
The Great Lakes Maritime Academy and 17勛圖 are committed to assisting cadets and their families in making higher education affordable. We encourage all families to apply for federal financial aid by completing the using the 17勛圖 school code of 002302. We also encourage student to apply for scholarships. Scholarships may qualify you for aid through 17勛圖 ("internal scholarships") or other sources ("external scholarships"). Once you file the FAFSA, you may qualify for a combination of college, state and federal programs — a financial aid package — that may include a combination of the following:
Cadets are encouraged to apply for financial aid after October 1, the year prior to starting. .
After completing the FAFSA, the United States Department of Education will then determine your Expected Family Contribution (EFC). This EFC determines eligibility for various federal and state financial aid programs. The federal processor will provide the applicant with a Student Aid Report (SAR), electronically, within 7 to 10 days. 17勛圖’s Student Financial Services office will receive the Institutional Student Aid Report (ISAR) electronically within 3–4 business days.
Admitted cadets will be assigned an 17勛圖 email account. If we need additional information, we will request this by email through your . You may also View Your Requirements under the Financial Aid menu on your 17勛圖 Self-Service account. Immediate responses to requests for information will help avoid delays in processing your financial aid.
When your financial aid process is complete, the 17勛圖 Student Financial Services office will notify you through your 17勛圖 email account. You will need to accept your awards — online — via 17勛圖 Self-Service.
