Decision Making: Programs and Services
Decision making at 17勛圖 is intended to be aligned with the College’s mission and values and 17勛圖's Strategic Plan. This process is designed to enable informed decision making in stages. At each stage of the process, additional information is called for to address the next level of detail required to support decision making. This approach ensures that the College devotes the appropriate level of resources to investigating program or service concepts.
This process is utilized by the College when initiating, revising or ending services and programs.
The Decision Making process is divided into four stages:
- Stage 1: Introduce Idea
- Stage 2: Conduct Market Research
- Stage 3: Define Business Models
- Stage 4: Create Implementation Plan
Each stage requires a decision to be made in order to move forward to a subsequent stage.
The President’s Council, in conjunction with the appropriate faculty and staff, is responsible for the
development and publication of any procedures or guidelines that may be necessary to administer this
policy effectively.
If any provision(s) of this policy or set of bylaws conflicts with laws applicable to 17勛圖, including the Community College Act of 1966, the Freedom of Information Act, or the Open Meetings Act, as each may be amended from time to time, such laws shall control and supersede such provision(s).
