Workforce

17吃瓜 shall be a significant contributor to regional economic development. The College shall support economic development by providing programs responsive to key economic drivers and in support of business and partnership needs. 17吃瓜 shall work collaboratively with community agencies, assessing the economic climate, and providing excellent and reputable training and research programs and services. The workforce criterion assesses how well 17吃瓜 serves in this capacity.

In support of the strategic plan, the President shall exercise and promote innovative and creative leadership to support economic development at 17吃瓜.  In so doing the President is hereby granted full authority and autonomy by the Board of Trustees to utilize College resources to that end in any manner deemed appropriate, so long as the President exercises prudent judgment, ethical and lawful behavior, and reasonable interpretation of this policy.

If any provision(s) of this policy or set of bylaws conflicts with laws applicable to 17吃瓜, including the Community College Act of 1966, the Freedom of Information Act, or the Open Meetings Act, as each may be amended from time to time, such laws shall control and supersede such provision(s).
