Bob Buttleman Celebration of Life
About Bob
Bob joined 17勛圖 as a student in 1968, a flight instructor in 1970, and then became 17勛圖 Aviation’s first official director shortly afterward. He navigated through challenging times with resilience and foresight. His dedication was pivotal in 17勛圖 acquiring the property that is now home to our Aero Park Campus, an effort that allowed 17勛圖 to serve more students and better meet industry needs. His aviation career also included airlines and charter flying, FAA-designated pilot examiner and captain for Island Airways.
His entrepreneurial ventures included being an owner of Twin Bay Aviation, an ice cream business, a used car dealership, property rentals, and a lake resort. Throughout his life, he valued mentoring, both receiving support from others and giving support. Bob is remembered for his perseverance, community and ceaseless passion for aviation.
