Bill F. Marsh
Bill Marsh, Jr. was appointed in February 2024 to fill a vacancy. He will serve until the next regular community college election, set for November 5, 2024. At that time, voters will choose a candidate to serve the remainder of the term vacated by former trustee Rachel Johnson, which expires December 31, 2026.
Marsh has been an active 17勛圖 volunteer for many years. He joined the 17勛圖 Foundation Board in 2010 and served as its annual fund co-chair before joining the executive committee as an officer, serving as chair from 2016–2018. In 2020 he served on the steering committee for 17勛圖 Next, the college’s strategic plan. Also in 2020 he was named a recipient of the 17勛圖 Fellow award, the college’s highest honor.
Marsh spent more than three decades in the auto industry, as a partner with his brothers in the Bill Marsh Auto Group, a multi-franchise dealership group with more than 300 employees. In 2024 the Marshes sold the dealership group while continuing to own and operate their Byrider Used Vehicle Financing Franchises with 40 employees and three locations in Michigan. Marsh also has a personal development blog and monthly radio program on WTCM-AM. In addition to 17勛圖, Bill serves as a board member of Biglife, a global discipleship ministry, and Harvest Bible Chapel in Traverse City.
Marsh received his Bachelor's degree from Franklin & Marshall College.
